FOX 32 s Joanie Lum reports.
FOREST PARK, Ill. - All six Cook County mass vaccination sites are allowing walk-ins starting Monday as the state ramps up its distribution efforts.
The vaccination clinic in Forest Park is doing both appointments and walk ins. It has been busy but moving along, thanks to the healthcare professionals and assistance from the National Guard.
The process is a lot easier than it was a few weeks ago.
Now, everyone 16 and older in Cook County can get the COVID-19 vaccine, no appointment necessary.

The award, which was started by the ILACP in 2016, goes to a chief who excels in his or her own department and provides extraordinary service to the association, a news release said.
Winslow will be recognized during the association’s annual conference on August 20 at the Tinley Park Convention Center.
“Winslow is viewed by his peers as a model for what a 21st century police chief should be,” said ILACP Executive Director Ed Wojcicki of Springfield.
Winslow and his department have implemented many community policing initiatives, including partnering with The Outlet Mentoring Group for their annual Bridging the Gap barbecue with residents and Coffee With Cops.
