Over the past 30 years Tasmanians have donated millions of dollars worth of gifts and money to the ABC Giving Tree Appeal, which provides for families in need at Christmas time.

This year ABC Hobart and ABC Northern Tasmania were not able to accept donated gifts
A Giveathon was held on Wednesday, raising more than $200,000
