241 new COVID-19 cases; six more deaths confirmed

Man in his 80s from Grand Forks County. Woman in her 90s from McLean County. Man in his 90s from Ramsey County. Man in his 80s from Stutsman County. Man in his 70s from Walsh County.   Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.    241 new individuals from 37 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 89,788.   These results were from a pool of 5,598 tests for a daily positive rate of 3.88 percent.

Note that this includes PCR tests and does not include individuals from out of state. Individuals who tested positive divided by the total number of people tested who have not previously tested positive (susceptible encounters). Antigen tests (positive or negative) are not included in the calculation. Number of individuals who tested positive with a PCR or antigen test and died from any cause while infected with COVID-19. Please remember that deaths are reported as they’re reported to us by the facility or through the official death record (up to 10-day delay). The actual date individuals are officially out of isolation and no longer contagious.

There are currently 3,061 active cases in the state, an increase of 77 since Thursday.  144 people are hospitalized. (KVRR) – The North Dakota Department of Health on Thursday reported 10 additional deaths from COVID-19. There are currently 2,984 active cases in the state, an increase of 28 since Wednesday.  148 people are hospitalized.
