HIGH POINT â Itâs been two months to the day since Rodney and Deneka Boothâs 25-year-old son, Robert, was gunned down outside a south High Point condominium complex, but the parents find themselves asking the same question they asked two months ago:
Who killed our son? Moreover, they fear they may be asking the same question two years from now.
âItâs very frustrating,â Deneka says. âPeople wonât talk to the police, because they donât want their names out there â theyâre afraid they could get hurt. (The police are) waiting for someone to rat, but it could be years before someone feels safe enough to come forward and say something. I donât want to give up hope, but the longer it goes, the more I wonder if theyâll ever make an arrest.â
