Representative image MYSURU: The district administration has started Covid Mithra initiative at all primary health centres (PHCs) for the early intervention and treatment to avoid people scrambling for ICU beds due to the delay in treatment. At PHCs, Covid-19 treatment is prescribed based on the symptomatic lines even before RT-PCR test results. In HD Kote taluk, which shares its border with Kerala, 20 such centres are operational now. Taluk health officer, Dr T Ravi Kumar said a doctor and para medical staff are deputed in these centres. “Once patients arrive, they are counselled. If they have Covid-19 symptoms, medicine is provided, and their details are recorded in triage form for further follow up. We provide patients medical and counselling support and advise to self-isolate.” he added.

PTI file photo Hyderabad: The LB Nagar Special Operations Team busted a gang pilfering diesel and seized 805 litres of fuel and three tankers on Saturday. The tankers bring fuel from the storage points of IOCL, BPCL and HPCL at Cherlapally to fuel stations in the city. Police said the tankers are taken to the storage points with about 25 litres of fuel in their 250-litre capacity tanks. Once the tanker is filled, some of the fuel is illegally diverted to their near-empty tanks using a pipe.
