Man who wanted revenge for nephew’s death charged with attempted homicide: court documents
Updated 12:58 PM;
Standing on the York street where his nephew was just shot to death, Darryl Peeples told a police officer he was going to get revenge, court documents said.
Peeples, 37, was an uncle of Tyree Smart, a 16-year-old who was shot March 27 while walking on the 300 block of West Newton Avenue, York City police said. Authorities tried to resuscitate Smart, but he died at the scene.
After the shooting, Peeples turned to a York City police officer and said “he was going to kill the person who killed his nephew,” according to an affidavit of probable cause charging him with attempted homicide.
