The Dordt University Music Department is hosting a 4th Avenue Jazz Concert on Tuesday, April 27 at 8 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.
The performance will highlight both the 4th Avenue Singers and 4th Avenue Band. Come for a relaxed evening of big band standards, fresh jazz perspectives, featured solos, and a variety of collaborations between singers and instruments.

Dordt University’s Music Department will be hosting a Choral Ensembles Concert on Friday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. and a Campus Band and Chamber Orchestra concert on Saturday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. Due to Covid-19 both concerts are not open for the public to attend in-person unless a musician has provided a ticket, but will be available via live streaming at vimeo.com/event/572686.

Dordt University’s Music Department has recently experienced a variety of gifts provided by friends of the institution highlighting and acknowledging the momentum, talent, and leadership that is housed within the department. The department has 297 students participating in music in some way, whether participating in an ensemble, taking lessons, or enrolled in music courses. Each of these gifts support Dordt students in various ways as they seek to develop their musical talents to serve Christ. The department has especially seen growth in organ studies, with 17 students being taught organ this semester.
