New South Wales has recorded 18 new coronavirus cases, with 11 of those in isolation for the entirety of their infectious period, as Premier Gladys Berejiklian declared she wants this lockdown to be the state s last.
Ms Berejiklian said the lockdown is having its desired effect as she announced the fresh locally acquired infections on Tuesday.
The premier hinted authorities will issue an announcement on Wednesday about whether Sydneysiders will be freed from lockdown at 11.59pm on Friday as planned.
