Earlier this week, veteran slugger Nelson Cruz was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Minnesota Twins received two two right-handed minor league pitchers in return: the Rays number 10 prospect Joe Ryan, and number 17 prospect Drew Strotman. The Rays will also receive right-handed minor league pitcher Calvin Faucher along with Cruz, as a part of the four-player deal. Cruz is already making a splash with his new squad; he homered in his Rays debut on Friday, contributing to a 10-5 win over Cleveland.
