Friday's trade deadline is approaching fast, and it’s coming down to the wire for clubs looking to make upgrades to assist with a potential postseason push. Earlier this week, veteran slugger Nelson Cruz was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Minnesota Twins received two two right-handed minor league pitchers in return: the Rays' number 10 prospect Joe Ryan, and number 17 prospect Drew Strotman. The Rays will also receive right-handed minor league pitcher Calvin Faucher along with Cruz, as a part of the four-player deal. Cruz is already making a splash with his new squad; he homered in his Rays debut on Friday, contributing to a 10-5 win over Cleveland. The Rays have won five of their last six games, and as of Sunday night, they sit one game behind the Boston Red Sox.
