Summer transit: Getting around Tahoe without a car

Staff Report Lime brought back its army of electric scooters to South Lake Tahoe on May 20. The scooters are a good way of moving around the South Shore without using a car. With peak summer visitation on the way, the South Shore Transportation Management Association has provided an update on how to get around the basin without using a car. Lime returned on May 20 with an army of electric scooters and will stick around through October, depending on when the snow flies. Overnight closures on US395 Sunday to add or replace traffic count sensors

Sunday night: 9:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, April 12 Overnight single lane closures on U.S. 395 between Fifth and Sixth streets in Minden. Minor travel delays should be anticipated. Overnight single lane closures on U.S. 395 between Jacks Valley Road and Topsy Lane in northern Douglas County. Minor travel delays should be anticipated. Drivers are reminded to travel safely and follow signage and reduced speed limits through the work zone.
