Salisbury Cathedral hosts Covid-19 local vaccination service

Salisbury Cathedral in autumn SALISBURY Cathedral this morning opened its doors as a venue for the Sarum South Primary Care Network Covid-19 local vaccination service. Local GPs from five Salisbury health centres have invited patients that are in the over 80s priority group to attend to have their first Covid-19 jab – and they will get to hear organ recitals featuring classical music while they wait. The GP practices that have been inviting patients to the Cathedral on Saturday are Salisbury Medical Practice in Fountain Way; Harcourt Medical Centre in Cranebridge Road; Three Chequers Medical Practice in Endless Street; Downton Surgery in Moot Lane, and Whiteparish Surgery.

Washington and surrounding residents are invited to explore and unpack their relationship with white privilege and racism during a new book discussion series being hosted by Washington for Justice. The organization is hosting five discussion sessions about the book, “Me & White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor” by Layla F. Saad. The hour-long sessions will take place over the Zoom video conference application, scheduled for January 14th and 28th, February 11th and 25th, and March 11th.
