Unofficial Results in for Washington County Special Elections

The unofficial results are in for Washington County’s three special elections Tuesday. For the Washington County Board of Supervisors District 3 race, Republican nominee Marcus Fedler received the most votes with 98, with Dwight Miller coming in second with 85 votes, Jonathan Bartholomew receiving 72, and Josh Schreiber receiving 50. In the Washington City Council Ward 3 race, Illa Earnest received the most votes with 143 and Haleigh Brockman received 39. The measure to continue the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy in the Highland School District passed with 205 voting in favor and 56 voting opposed. The bond vote will decide whether the District will be authorized to provide funds to improve school buildings and construct two new elementary school buildings. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Unofficial results: Public Measure BW passes with 72.32% voting yes. 60% was needed to pass.

Residents of Washington County District 3, the City of Washington’s Third Ward, and the Highland School District are reminded of a special election happening tomorrow. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. for all three elections, with polling places open at the Ainsworth Elementary School Building for the District 3 Supervisor and Highland Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL) ballots, Brighton Community Building for District 3, Riverside City Hall for Highland PPEL, and the Washington YMCA Community Room for Ward 3. Candidates running for District 3 Supervisor are Marcus Fedler, Johnathan Bartholomew, Dwight Miller, and Josh Schreiber, and the candidates for Washington Ward 3 are Haleigh Brockman and Illa Earnest.
