Over the weekend, the U.S. Senate passed the American Rescue Plan Act, a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus package, proposed by President Joe Biden. The legislation will return to the House of Representatives before it can be signed by the president and be enacted. According to figures provided by Sen. Chuck Schumer, $12.6 billion is going to New York state governments. Jamestown will receive $29.87 million, while Chautauqua County will receive $24.61 million and the city of Dunkirk will receive $11.59 million.
