GREAT FALLS â At Great Falls College-MSU, two cybersecurity students are getting valuable hands-on experience with an internship program thatâs the first of its kind in Montana.
The internship program is with the Montana Department of Administration. Through the program, the students learn how to protect sensitive information for the state and eliminate virtual threats to the department.
âTheyâre really seeing what the reality of organizations and the day-to-day work is,â said Computer Technology Program director Steve Robinett. Thatâs something we can talk about in a classroom and we can simulate some of that, but thereâs no substitute for that kind of practical experience so as Iâm fond of saying, we struck gold on this as an opportunity.â

The event will take place this Saturday, Feb. 27, at Gym SRQ.

Kettlebell lifting is a popular sport in Europe and Russia, but is not as well known in the United States. The American Kettlebell Alliance is looking to change that, by hosting national competitions and workshops to teach the public about using the kettlebell as a dynamic part of their workout.
Floridaâs first kettlebell competition, hosted by the American Kettlebell Alliance, will take place at Gym SRQ from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27. An additional four-hour workshop will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 6. The workshop will be open to the public, and will be taught by alliance founder Yuri Petunovs.
