Ampelmann and C-Job Naval Architects have joined forces to develop an offshore wind feeder vessel concept for US projects.
The vessel with motion compensation technology is specifically suited for the rigorous demands of operating off the east coast of the US and is Jones Act compliant, according to the Dutch offshore access provider.
C-Job Naval Architects vice president for business development Todd Allen said: The United States is ambitious in its plans to grow the installed offshore wind power. The only viable way to realise this goal while complying with the Jones Act is utilizing offshore wind feeder vessels. HOPKINTON â About 80 birds were killed by smoke inhalation and injuries caused by a 4-alarm fire that erupted in the northern end of a sanctuary building at the Foster Parrots property on Woodville Alton Road early Thursday morning.
Ashaway Fire Assistant Chief Todd Allen said a huge response â nearly a dozen agencies â helped prevent the fire from spreading and aided animals housed in the building where the fire took place. Firefightersâ quick action helped to contain the blaze quickly, but not before it caused significant damage to the northern section of the building, including the deaths of many birds. No human injuries were reported in the response, and officials said no one was at the facility when the fire erupted.
