An update on the COVID-19 vaccination rollout and health impacts in Hawaii Sydney Kurle | Mar 9, 2021 Share this: On Thursday the Hawaii Economic Association held a webinar titled “Vaccinating Hawai’i: Update on the COVID-19 Vaccination Rollout and Health Impacts.” This webinar focused both on an overview and update on the state’s vaccine rollout and an on-the-ground perspective from physicians. The panelists also addressed questions on vaccine safety, efficacy and limitations. The panelists were top stakeholders in the vaccine rollout and pandemic response, they included Hawaii’s Lieutenant Governor Josh Green and Todd Allen, senior vice president and chief quality officer at The Queen’s Health Systems. Also included was Melinda Ashton, executive vice president and chief quality officer of Hawai’i Pacific Health, and Tarquin Collis, chief of the Department of Infectious Diseases and chief of Medical Specialties at Kaiser Permanente.

Lawsuit filed vs. security company after man falls from dinner cruise into Caloosahatchee River and dies Jake Allen, Naples Daily News The estate of a Naples man who fell overboard during a December dinner cruise in Fort Myers and died has filed a lawsuit against a Lee County security company, according to court records.   The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday on behalf of the estate of Joel Henderson, a 37-year-old Naples man, who fell overboard the Capt. JP riverboat and into the Caloosahatchee River. The lawsuit was filed against Suncoast Security in front of Lee Circuit Judge Alane Laboda.   Henderson was attending a “Nightmare Before Christmas Brews Cruise” on the vessel on the evening of Dec. 4.

Mitchell named NWCA NAIA Men s National Coach of the Year Nate Naasz, NWCA Nick Mitchell PARK CITY, Kan. On Thursday evening the NAIA hosted a virtual National Championship Coaches Social. At the conclusion of the event, National Wrestling Coaches Association Executive Director Mike Moyer recognized the 11 finalists for the NAIA Men s National Coach of the Year and announced the winner as selected by his peers. The award is presented to the coach that has demonstrated outstanding effort throughout the season in developing and elevating their program on campus and in the community. The NWCA National Coach of the Year awards program is presented by Defense Soap, the official Hygiene partner of the NWCA.

Lawsuit filed against security company in Fort Myers dinner cruise death

The riverboat left from Fort Myers city dock.   About 7:40 p.m., Henderson was walking down a flight of stairs on the vessel when he slipped and fell over the railing and into the Caloosahatchee River, according to the lawsuit.   A “haphazard search” was organized using the staff of the vessel and employees of Suncoast Security, but Henderson could not be located, according to the lawsuit.   Coast Guard crews searched 11.5 hours between east of Cape Coral Bridge and west of Highway 41 into the following day. Additional agencies assisted in the search, including the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Fort Myers Beach Police and Lee County Sheriff s Department.
