Tata Steel on Monday said it has increased its daily oxygen supply limit to 600 tonne a day to health centres for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

Tata Steel hits Rs 1 lakh crore in market capitalisation
Tata Steel on Tuesday touched Rs 1 trillion (Rs 1 lakh crore) in market capitalisation after the scrip hit a 52-week high of Rs 882.50. The gain pushed the market cap to Rs 1.05 trillion. Tata Steel now becomes the fourth company of the Tata Group to hit Rs 1 trillion in market capitalisation. The other three Tata Group companies in the elite list are TCS, Tata Motors and Titan.
The large cap stock gained more than 20 per cent in the last five days. The scrip has delivered a return of 223 per cent in one year and 34 per cent since the beginning of this year. The recovery in Indian economy led to improvement in steel demand.
Tata Steel shares: During the December quarter Tata Steel recorded revenue of Rs 39,594 crore.
Tata Steel shares surged as much as 3.55 per cent to hit an intraday high of Rs 724 on the BSE a day after it reported December quarter earnings. The country s leading steel maker reported net profit of Rs 3,989 crore compared with a loss of Rs 1,165.78 crore in the same quarter last year. Its revenue from operations rose 11.5 per cent to Rs 39,594 crore as against Rs 35,520 crore during the corresponding period a year ago.
During the quarter Tata Steel s consolidated EBITDA or operating profit increased 53 per cent sequentially and 2.6 times annually to Rs 9,540 crore with improved realization across key entities, Tata Steel said in an earnings release.
