Da Vinci Art Alliance unveils new exhibition
The Da Vinci Art Alliance has opened a new exhibition of photographs, paintings, and installation works curated by Chelsey Luster, a 2020 fellow.
Sanctuary: An Exploration of Queer Safe Havens explores safe spaces and personal sanctuaries through Queer POC artworks. The exhibition will be on view by-appointment February 18 through March 7 at Da Vinci Art Alliance at 704 Catherine Street and as a recorded video tour on the Da Vinci Art Alliance website, davinciartalliance.org.
This exhibition showcases the works of Rick Vaughn, Autumn Wallace, Dara Haskins, Pablo Alarcón Jr., Jungmok Lee Yi, and the members of the Somatic Stories Project.
West Windsor Arts Council Presents Harmony Online Exhibition
(WEST WINDSOR, NJ) Communities often look to artists to provide the bridge between what has happened in the past and what is needed going forward. When the Exhibition Committee of the West Windsor Arts Council sat down last September, this was exactly their intention in creating the Harmony exhibition. At that meeting the conversation revolved around how to bring people together, “There are too many things up in the air right now. What makes us feel grounded and connected and how can art accomplish this?”
When the Exhibition Committee created the theme of Harmony, they did so with the understanding that a great chasm has developed in our communities and that at this time, post election, we would need to work on coming together in order to move forward and heal. WWAC invited artists to explore the idea of balance disrupted and harmony restored as it relates to personal experience, beliefs, or observation

MLK Weekend Celebration at AAMP
The African American Museum in Philadelphia and Citizens Charitable Foundation invites audiences to join them for a full weekend of enriching, fun, inspirational, family-friendly activities celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This year’s celebration includes MLK morning programming for youth and family, a special virtual screening of Shuja Moore’s webseries “Walkies,” a reading by Philadelphia Poet Laureate Trapeta Mayson, virtual tours of their latest exhibition “Rendering Justice,” and a special MLK keynote with “Marking Time” author Nicole Fleetwood.
