Texas Medical Board clears Houston-area doctor accused of stealing COVID-19 vaccine Chron 3/16/2021 Alison Medley A Houston-area doctor accused of stealing a vial of COVID-19 vaccine has been officially cleared by the Texas Medical Board. After reviewing the case, the Texas Medical Board stated that there was insufficient evidence to prove that Dr. Hasan Gokal had violated the Medical Practice Act. The investigation determined that Dr. Gokal appeared to have administered doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to patients that were properly consented, in the eligible category, and they were given doses that would have otherwise been wasted, the Board stated in a letter shared with the Houston Chronicle s Zach Despart.
