DALLAS - A new career and technical education center is nearly complete at Dallas High School.
The 13,000-square-foot building will house a woodshop, metal shop, and two classrooms - with a capacity for around 40 students. The center will replace an outdated building at the school.
The project cost around $3 million. Classes will begin at the start of the next school year.

Born in Mineola, N.Y., to the late William and Catherine Wright, she lived most of her life in the Back Mountain and graduated from Dallas High School. After spending one year at Bryn Mawr College, she left to marry and have children, becoming a stay-at-home mom while settling in West Pittston.

During her time as a foster mother, she realized she wanted to do more to bring parents and children together, forming âThe Loving Choiceâ adoption agency. Judy changed the lives of the many families she touched by showing them true compassion and understanding. Later in life, Judy worked at Kingâs College, Vivian Millwork and Country Fresh Market.
