Westborough Police seek man who stole vacuums from Target

MetroWest Daily News An unidentified man made a clean getaway two different times after stealing vacuum cleaners from a Rte. 9 store in Westborough. Now, police are hoping the public can help identify the suspect. According to police, the man went into Target on Turnpike Road on both Dec. 11 and Dec 12 and stole nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise – all vacuum cleaners. They included Ecovac, Deebot and Dyson brand vacuum cleaners, police said. “These items are frequently targeted for theft because they can easily be sold from online markets,” police said. It appeared the man, who was wearing a mask, would use a pillow to cover the vacuums as he made his getaway.
