The first batch of the Oxford University/AstraZeneca vaccine has been delivered in Bolton, according to the senior responsible officer for the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme in Bolton.
People are being warned not to turn up without an appointment. Yesterday morning over-80s with appointments queued around the block for the jab at Lever Chambers. Priority groups are currently being vaccinated at the following places by appointment only. WHERE VACCINATIONS ARE TAKING PLACE: • Lever Chambers Health Centre – including people from Central PCN and Farnworth and Kearsley PCN • Breightmet Health Centre – including people from Breightmet and Little Lever PCN • Peter House Surgery – including people from Westhoughton PCN • Waters Meeting Health Centre – including people from Halliwell PCN, plus those registered at Bolton Community Practice in Horwich • Avondale Health Centre – including people from Chorley Roads PCN
BOLTON S roll out of the Covid-19 vaccination programme is gaining pace with more sites opening to deliver the jab to priority groups. A queue formed outside Lever Chambers Health Centre this morning as those who had been invited waited for the lifesaving vaccine. Among those grateful to have received the jab was well known wrestling legend Albert Aspen MBE. The 86-year-old (pictured)who lives in Middle Hulton told The Bolton News: I have been waiting a fortnight for this and am so pleased to have received the vaccination. I was surprised to see a queue but was seen within minutes.
