Brooklyn Nine-Nine features an outstanding roster of talent in its main cast. The wonderful Andy Samberg is backed by one of the best supporting ensembles currently on television, with Andre Braugher, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Dirk Blocker, Joel McKinnon Miller, and Chelsea Peretti all delivering massive laughs year after year. The show would still be one of the funniest shows around if every episode solely focused on the characters they play â but one of the best aspects of the series is that it is constantly bringing in excellent guest stars who do some amazing work, including the likes of Danny Trejo, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Katey Sagal.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is normally a genuinely funny show, but it’s sadly drifted more into politics in these later seasons. This time may actually be its most nonsensical stride yet since this cop show literally advocates working against law enforcement. Only liberals could fashion the logic around that.
The April 2 episode “Admiral Peralta” features a subplot where Sergeant Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) mistakenly gives a high-profile robbery case to inept Detectives Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker) and Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller). Although their efforts are mostly useless, they managed to find a witness who saw every detail of the crime down to the getaway car. Unfortunately, neither detective wrote down the contact information to find him. Nevertheless, Amy and her detective co-worker Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) set out to find the witness themselves.
