One of the most recent targets is Vladislav Yesypenko, a RFE/RL contributor who was arrested in Russian-occupied Crimea on March 10. Yesypenko faces trial on July 6 on charges of spying and possessing a grenade.

Canada sent around 180 military athletes and support personnel to the Games, out of a total of 9,000 athletes from 100 countries.
