Dublin High School names Jamie Paulk next principal

Updated: 9:07 PM EDT May 24, 2021 DUBLIN, Ga. The Dublin City Schools Board of Education announced the hiring of Dublin High School s new principal Monday. According to a news release, the board has hired Jamie Paulk as the school s principal. The release says Paulk was hired after several weeks of interviewing and vetting candidates. Paulk is a graduate of Claflin University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Teaching, and also earned an Educational Specialist degree focused in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University. In a statement, the board said Paulk was the best choice in continuing the legacy of the late Principal Jaroy Stuckey, who was killed in a car accident in March.

The vote was 5-0. Marschhausen will replace Dr. Todd Hoadley, who stepped down from the role in March. According to the resolution, Marschhausen will officially take over as superintendent on August 1, 2021. Dr. Marschhausen said he is excited for this next chapter in his administrative career. 10TV asked him what he hopes to achieve in Dublin.

Updated: 12:17 PM EDT April 5, 2021 DUBLIN, Ohio On Monday night, Dublin City Schools Board of Education is set to vote on the approval of Dr. John Marschhausen as the district’s new superintendent. According to the board’s online agenda, “It is recommended by the president of the board of education that the board approve the attached resolution to Employ John Marschhausen, PH.D., Superintendent of Dublin City Schools.” Board of education president, Chris Valentine, sent an e-mail to parents on March 8 to inform them that the then-superintendent, Dr. Todd Hoadley would be a pursuing a different challenge within the district “that would offer a break from the spotlight and 24/7 obligations of a superintendent.”
