WARREN The head of the Trumbull Action Group Drug Task Force came upon something he usually doesn’t see in the Mahoning Valley.
Capt. Tony Villanueva’s squad used a search warrant at a Dunstan Drive apartment complex on the northwest side of Warren and found a lab that authorities allege was producing a hallucinogen usually not found in this area, he said.
Staff report
WARREN A drug bust at an apartment complex in the city led officers to find a drug lab that was possibly producing a drug not typical in this area.
Officers raided a Dunstan Drive NW complex Monday and found what they suspect to be DMT, a hallucinogenic drug, according to 21-WFMJ TV.
The Trumbull Action Group Drug Task Force was on hand, as was the fire department and the Trumbull County HazMat team. No charges have been filed yet, pending test results on the substances found.

WARREN A judge told a Dunstan Drive NW man he was giving him a break by sending him to an alternative community program instead of prison for a host of drug convictions.
Gary Provitt, 32, appeared before Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald J. Rice last week after being convicted of charges of attempted possession of a fentanyl-related compound, possession of cocaine, attempted possession of hashish and possession of marijuana.
Rice told the defendant he was giving him a break by sentencing him to five years of intensive supervision probation that will begin with a stint at the Northeast Ohio Community Alternative Program, a rehab that teaches life skills.
