TOWSON, Md. â Police have made an arrest in the December 27 murder of Dunbar High School assistant Principal, Shelton Stanley.
On January 4 police arrested 23-year-old Zayeed Quinton Abdul Muhaimin in San Diego, California.
Baltimore County Police were initially asked to do a welfare check at Stanley s home, in the 4800 block of Hawksbury Road, after family members were unable to reach him by phone.
That s when officers found him dead inside suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

A man was arrested in San Diego Monday in connection with the killing of a Baltimore City high school assistant principal.
Shelton Stanley, who worked at Dunbar High School, was shot and killed Dec. 27 in his Pikesville home. Police said Zayeed Quinton Abdul Muhaimin, 23, was arrested in San Diego on a Baltimore County warrant.
Police believe Muhaimin may have been staying with Stanley and fled to California after the shooting. Authorities are working to extradite him to Maryland.
