Brady Dix Sr. turned himself in to the York County Sheriff s Office Share Updated: 8:46 PM EDT May 25, 2021 The suspect in an hours-long standoff in Buxton May 18 has turned himself in to authorities.The York County Sheriff s Office tells WMTW News 8 Brady Dix Sr. turned himself Tuesday morning.Last week, Buxton Police were called to Dunnell Road for a disturbance. When they arrived, they were told Dix was inside the home with a shotgun. Out on bail, police said Dix was not allowed to possess firearms.When they entered the home several hours later, police found no one inside.Dix is being held at the York County Jail.

BUXTON S POLICE CHIEF SAYS THIS ALL STARTED AROUND 9:30 THIS MORNING REPORTING DIX SENIOR HAD A SHOTGUN AND GOT INTO A FIGHT WITH HIS ADULT SON. THIS AFTERNOON, POLICE SAY THEY BELIEVE AS THEY ARRIVED DIX SENIOR GOT OUT OF THE HOME - NOW THEY DON T KNOW WHERE HE IS. BUXTON P-D SAY DIX ISN T SUPPOSED TO HAVE A GUN BECAUSE HE S OUT ON BAIL FOR ANOTHER ALLEGED CRIME. IT WASN T UNTIL ROUGHLY 3 TODAY OFFICERS WENT INTO THE HOME. Local and state police, crisis negotiators and a tactical team surrounded a home in Buxton on Tuesday morning for a would-be standoff, but the man they were looking for had already fled the residence.
Police were called the home of Brady Dix Sr., 44, on Dunnell Road around 9:30 a.m. for a report that Dix was armed with a shotgun and fighting with his adult son, who is also named Brady Dix, Buxton Police Chief Troy A. Cline said.
