No new coronavirus deaths have been confirmed at hospital trusts in the region, in the latest figures released by the NHS.

The daily number of coronavirus deaths at Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire hospitals as of April 9. By date of death, not date death was announced. Data: NHS England.
It means that a total of 7,545 people have died with Covid-19 in hospitals across the Black Country, Staffordshire and Birmingham.
On top of this, a total of 1,387 people have died in the region’s care homes after contracting coronavirus.
NHS England confirmed a further 33 deaths on Friday, meaning 86,543 have now died in the country s hospitals after testing positive for Covid-19.
