A BRIERLEY Hill woman who lost her 38-year-old husband to Covid-19 has paid tribute to the hospital staff who cared for him and presented them with gift bags. Graham Dodd died at Russells Hall Hospital on January 30, having tested positive for coronavirus on January 2 and being admitted to hospital six days later. Hannah Dodd and fellow members of Brierley Hill Methodist Church have donated 70 gift bags for the team in critical care who looked after Graham.

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust worked with regulators to ensure they could carry on seeing patients at the pool safely, helping to speed up their recovery. One of only a few in the Midlands region, the pool is used by people recovering from lower limb injuries, trauma caused by car accidents, mums-to-be with pelvic girdle pain, children with fractures and dislocations and neurological patients.
One death was announced at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, where 2,610 people have died
No deaths were reported at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, or the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross Hospital, where the total remains at 740 and 801 respectively.
No new deaths were confirmed at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Walsall Manor Hospital, where a total of 721 people have now died from coronavirus.
And no deaths were announced at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, where the totals remain at 1,376.
The total number of Covid deaths at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust remains at 1,714.
