COLCHESTER COUNTY: Eastville, Highway 289
Highway 289, about 7 kilometres northeast of the junction with Highway 336, will be reduced to one lane until Monday, April 19 for repairs to the cross culvert.
Temporary traffic lights are in place. Expect delays.
CONTINUING WORK
MacKeens Bridge, on Trunk 7 near Aspen, is closed for bridge replacement until July.
Detour is in place.

Dillmans Bridge, on Wyse Road in Meaghers Grant, will be closed until further notice. A detour is available via Old Guysborough Road. Signs are in place.

A Cass County Sheriff s deputy rescued a dog from an icy pond on Wednesday.
Deputies responded to a call saying a dog named Leo fell through the ice on a pond near White Temple Road and Dutch Settlement Road in Penn Township.
Deputy Taryn Shields went onto the ice to help the dog and fell through.
Shields was able to grab Leo and both made it to safety.
