KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has paid a RM1, 500 fine for not wearing a face mask during a press conference recently.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said the Pasir Salak MP paid the fine at the Lembah Pantai Health Office at around 3.30pm on Wednesday (June 9). I can confirm that he has settled it, he said.
Earlier Wednesday, ACP Mohamad Zainal said the former Prasarana chairman would be issued the RM1, 500 compound notice, after investigation papers were returned by the Attorney General s Chambers on Tuesday (June 8). It was for committing an offence under Rule 17(1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations. This was due to his failure to wear a face mask during a press conference on the LRT mishap at the KLCC station, he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Roadblocks set up in the jurisdiction of the Dang Wangi district police headquarters (IPD Dang Wangi) will be mobile, reports
At present, two teams of police officers will be stationed at four mobile roadblocks which will be operational 24 hours a day, and there will be no static roadblocks set up as there are many routes that can be taken through the district, said Dang Wangi district police chief assistant commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah.
“We will not be setting up static roadblocks, and instead will implement mobile roadblocks depending on the number of vehicles on roads, and when necessary,” Zainal said, adding that random checks will be conducted on members of the public in the Dang Wangi district to ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being adhered to, in addition to travelling with permission, he said.

We will also conduct spot checks on the people, he told reporters after conducting inspections at a government agency s building and a roadblock at Jalan Ampang on Tuesday (June 1).
Dang Wangi police will also deploy 21 compliance operation teams to ensure that people adhere to Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP).
