Douglas Wayne ‘Captain Doug’ Batson CAROLINA BEACH Beloved husband and daddy, Douglas Wayne “Captain Doug” Batson went to be with Jesus and our Caleb, Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, after a long and brave struggle with Parkinson’s. He was dearly loved and cared for and is supremely missed by his wife of 46 years, Mary; and by the children he treasured, Drake, Savannah (James), Mark (Kelly), Holly (Jonathan), John (Chesson), Jessa (Taylor) and Peter. Doug was Grandpa (Grandaddy) to 15 grandchildren. We are grateful to Harriet and Rebecca, R.N., for their endearing skills and support to our family and Doug for more than two years.
