GlamGore Third Annual Pre-Pride on the East Side

GlamGore Third Annual Pre-Pride on the East Side Cleveland’s self-described “Fatale of Filth” Anhedonia Delight will present a special edition of GlamGore, a reoccurring alternative and all ages drag show series, today at the Grog Shop to celebrate Pride. The event will feature performances by Anhedonia Delight, Pineapple, Dakota Cox, Malibu Peru and Maja Jera. As of this writing, tickets, which cost $12 in advance, $15 day of show, will be sold by table only in groups of two to six people for maximum occupancy and safety. The fun begins at 9 p.m.

Humboldt State University s El Leñador newspaper was awarded the Best All-Around Student Newspaper by the Society of Professional Journalists of Northern California at the 2020 Mark of Excellence regional awards. “Winning this award means that people, even outside of this community, recognize the important work that our team puts into producing El Leñador,” said Nancy Garcia, one of three El Leñador editors-in-chief. “That s a really good feeling because we work hard. Reed named first-team all-league

The University of New Mexico has not had a first-team All-Mountain West Conference non-specialist selection since 2014, until now. Junior defensive back Jerrick Reed, who led the MWC in interceptions (four) and interceptions per game (0.57), was named first-team All-MWC at safety, as chosen by the 12 head coaches and a select media panel, the league announced Tuesday. Senior linebacker Brandon Shook, who led UNM (2-5) with 60 tackles, earned second-team honors, as did San Diego State junior kick returner Jordan Byrd, a Manzano High alumnus. UNM junior running back Bobby Cole and seniors Kyle Stapley (offensive line), Teton Saltes (OL) and Joey Noble (defensive lineman) received honorable mention, as did SDSU junior defensive end Keshawn Banks, a Rio Rancho High alumnus.

Reed Named First Team All-MW, Shook Second Team COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Jerrick Reed II, who led the Mountain West in interceptions and interceptions per game, was named First Team All-Mountain West at safety, becoming the first non-specialist for UNM to be named First Team All-Conference since 2014.  Reed was joined by linebacker Brandon Shook, who was named Second Team All-Conference. Reed’s honor was the first time that a non-specialist earned first team honors since the 2014 season when both Dakota Cox (linebacker) and LaMar Bratton (offensive line) were named to the team.  Corey Bojorquez, a punter who is now with the Buffalo Bills, was named First Team All-Mountain West in 2017.
