Here are five things you must know for Tuesday, Jan. 19:
1. Stock Futures Trade Higher Ahead of Yellen Testimony
Stock futures were higher Tuesday as Janet Yellen, President-elect Joe Biden s nominee for Treasury secretary, prepared to tell Congress that lawmakers must do more to lift the U.S. economy out of the recession brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
Contracts linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 189 points, S&P 500 futures were up 26 points and Nasdaq futures gained 116 points.
Yellen, who served as chair of the Federal Reserve from 2014 to 2018, will tell the Senate Finance Committee that Congress must act big on the next coronavirus relief package with borrowing costs so low.
J.B. Hunt, University of Arkansas Announce $2.25 Million Collaboration to Address Sustainability

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, a supply chain solutions provider, and the University of Arkansas today announced a new $2.25 million collaboration with the Sam M. Walton College of Business that will increase awareness of inclusion and diversity in transportation and logistics and explore new, sustainable solutions to address current and potential industry challenges.
To support the new collaboration, J.B. Hunt will provide an incremental gift of $1.5 million to the University of Arkansas and reallocate $750,000 from the J.B. Hunt Innovation Center of Excellence, an ongoing effort between the two to improve supply chain management efficiency through technology. Two funds benefitting the Department of Supply Chain Management in the Walton College have been established that outline the direction for each initiative:

Norfolk Southern (NYSE: NSC) unwind the glut of boxes and trailers backed up in the key intermodal markets of Los Angeles and Chicago. Severe ramp congestion is impacting the intermodal network in Chicago and Southern California, delaying both inbound and outbound loads, according to the statement. Both railroads have implemented gate restrictions and closures for standard service level shipments in efforts to expedite the recovery.
