PRESTATYN Town FC has confirmed the signing of widely experienced former Welsh Premier League forward Jamie Reed. Reed, 33, will join the Seasiders’ first team as they look to mount a promotion challenge in the tier two JD Cymru North League over the coming years. He will also manage the under-19s side for the 2021/22 campaign. It is hoped the former Rhyl and Bangor City player, who had a three-year spell at York City where he won the FA Trophy Final in 2012, will provide valuable experience to the youth set up and contribute to a supply of homegrown players into the first team.

Work to create an accessible footpath behind the Bastion Gardens north stand is being carried out as part of the Seasiders’ application for FAW Tier 2 Club Licensing, which state that grounds must be safe and accessible. The JD Cymru North League club has acquired equipment including a digger, dumper and a skip following donations from fans and supporters, while volunteers have helped to carry out the work over recent weeks. Andy Ruscoe, Prestatyn Town FC general manager, said: The back of the stand had become overgrown and we wanted to create footpath. We have managed to raise money to hire a digger, people have donated skips and offered to lay concrete. There is a good buzz around the club.
