Although the state has loosened some pandemic restrictions recently, Huron Community Fair officials announced they were hopeful but cautious about this year’s plans.
“Obviously we are at the mercy of the numbers, size, scope and scale whatever the state guidelines say,” fair board President Clark Brock said. “If things open up, we want to have the fair as usual, and we are hopeful. However, we are sitting at the middle of March and it’s not looking like that is going to happen very fast, so we are looking at alternative plans.”

When Yale New Haven Hospital officials opened their first mass vaccination clinic at the Floyd Little Athletic Center, they thought they had found the perfect site near the center of the city and accessible by multiple bus lines for the residents it hoped would come there.
But it didn’t take long for hospital officials to realize that while they were vaccinating lots of people at Floyd Little, few of them were from New Haven.

PHILADELPHIA - Boos rained down at Wells Fargo Center as Nick Jensen was engulfed in a group hug from Nicklas Backstrom, Alex Ovechkin and T.J. Oshie. The Washington Capitals defenseman s wide smile flashed across the video board - he finally did it.
Jensen had scored for the first time since joining the Capitals at the trade deadline in February 2019, and his goal early in the third period gave Washington a cushion as it rallied to beat the Philadelphia Flyers, 3-1, on Sunday night. I had all day to take a shot, said Jensen, who has seven goals in 299 regular season games. It was exciting. It s been a while.
