Rape bid foiled July 27, 2021 LAHORE: A suspect has been arrested for attempting assault on a minor girl in the Johar Town area on Monday. The arrested suspect was identified as Mehboob. The suspect, a neighbour of the victim, lured the girl and took her to the roof of the house where he attempted to sexually assault her. She resisted and started crying prompting neighbours to rescue her and handed over the victim to police.

Journalist s car stolen from Johar Town

Journalist’s car stolen from Johar Town Lahore: A car belonging to a journalist was stolen from Johar Town Sunday. Samiullah Randhawa had parked his vehicle outside his home at night. The next day, he found it missing. The unidentified suspects might have stolen the car; he lodged a complaint at the Nawab Town Police Station. A case has been registered and police said they were searching for the stolen vehicle.

India should stop terrorism in Pakistan: Moeed

July 25, 2021 ISLAMABAD: There can be no forward movement unless India takes solid steps to reverse the situation on ground in IIOJK [Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir] and stops sponsorship of terrorism against Pakistan. This was stated by National Security Adviser Dr Moeed Yusuf in his interview to an Indian journalist Karan Thapar on Saturday. Explaining Pakistan’s position on Kashmir, Dr Yusuf said the government and people of Pakistan would remain committed to the Kashmir cause till such a time when Kashmiris are granted their right to self-determination under the UNSC resolutions. Elaborating the offer from India to hold talks, Dr Yusuf said that Pakistan had clearly communicated to India that it must halt demographic change in IIOJ&K, ensure protection of Kashmiri identity and give Kashmiris their rights before any dialogue or talks can take place.

‘No forward movement’ till India walks back moves in IIOJK July 25, 2021 ISLAMABAD: National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr Moeed Yusuf on Saturday said there could be “no forward movement” unless India takes concrete steps to reverse the situation on the ground in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and stops the sponsorship of terrorism against Pakistan. The NSA in his interview to prominent Indian journalist Karan Thapar responded to the Indian offer to revive dialogue between India and Pakistan, underscored the Indian state-sponsored terrorism against Pakistan and its terror financing evidence. While laying out Pakistan’s position on Kashmir, Dr Yusuf said the government and the people of Pakistan would remain committed to the Kashmir cause till the Kashmiris were granted their right to self-determination under UNSC resolutions.
