Christian County Public Schools has started preparing the public for a potential vote by the school board that could result in the consolidation of Hopkinsville and Christian County high schools.
The first of three public forums was held on Monday at the Christian County Middle School Performing Arts Center. Subsequent forums are scheduled for Aug. 2 at Crofton Elementary School and Aug. 12 at South Christian Elementary School. Both events will start at 6 p.m. and be held in the respective school gyms.
Superintendent Chris Bentzel and other Christian County central office administrators laid out the history of the facilities that has led to this moment where it looks like consolidation is the best option.
