RHITU CHATTERJEE, BYLINE: About a year ago, when the pandemic hit the United States, Dr. Arghavan Salles was working as a researcher at Stanford University. Salles is a surgeon but wasn t practicing medicine at the time. But seeing the need for more doctors in New York City, she flew there in April of last year to volunteer her time at a hospital working in the ICU.

CHATTERJEE: Now, remember spring of 2020. It was still the early days of the pandemic. And New York was the first city in the United States to be hit so hard.

Idaho Falls School District 91 receives first dose of COVID-19 vaccine much earlier than planned

IDAHO FALLS It was a busy day at Taylorview Middle School Friday as teachers and faculty members stood in line for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Only a week ago, they thought they’d have to wait at least a month. To their surprise, Governor Little announced on Tuesday that teachers and school staff will be prioritized higher on the list of who should receive the vaccine next.

In This Moment is an American metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed by singer Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth in 2005. They found drummer Jeff Fabb and started the band as Dying Star. Unhappy with their musical direction, they changed their name to In This Moment and gained two band members, guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell.
