WAILUKU – A Wailuku man was taken into custody to complete a six-month jail term for illegally restraining a woman who said she was beaten and threatened while he held her captive in his truck.
Jordan Ware, 34, also was placed on four years’ probation when he was sentenced Thursday.
Originally charged with kidnapping, he had pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of first-degree unlawful imprisonment of the woman on July 22, 2016. Charges of felony abuse, abuse and interfering with reporting of an emergency were dismissed in exchange for his plea.
Speaking in court Thursday, the woman said, “I had to put in a lot of work to heal from the torture that Jordan Ware put me through.”

POPLARVILLE, Miss. (WDAM) - The Pearl River football staff was elated to announce their 2021 signing class Wednesday afternoon. The class represents the first group head coach Seth Smith and his staff have been able to recruit for a calendar year. While the COVID-19 pandemic complicated the way teams can recruit, Smith is confident the class will shine over the next two years for the Wildcats.
“We are extremely excited about our first full signing class,” Smith said. “We’ve had over nine months to evaluate these guys and also evaluate our needs for the 2021 team moving forward.
