SPOKANE Mary Schaffer spent years doing all she could to keep herself and her children safe from her aggressive ex-husband, and was able to secure a protection order against him.
Despite all her careful planning, on Aug. 8, 2020, Schaffer was found shot to death inside a rental car outside her ex-husband’s Browne’s Addition home, where she had been waiting to pick up their two children.
Now her ex, Nathan Beal, is accused of killing her.
HMC, WMH change visitor guidelines
Chillicothe News
As the continued spread of COVID-19 has slightly declined in the region, Hedrick Medical Center (HMC) and Wright Memorial Hospital (WMH) have revised their visitor guidelines to allow level 4 visitation, starting Feb. 4. Both facilities were previously at a ‘Level 5 Restricted’, which restricted all visitors. According to a press release from Jordan Ferguson, director of communications, should cases begin rising again, hospital administration will reinstate Level 5 restrictions.
Level 4 Restricted visitor guidelines restrict visitors to one visitor per patient per day, no visitor re-entry, and no visitors under the age of 14. Masks are always required to be worn by the visitors, even in the patient rooms.
