NORTH SOUND – Shai Hope reinforced his class in the One-day International format with his 10th hundred and West Indies drew first blood in their three-match series against Sri Lanka in Antigua with an eight-wicket win.
Hope cracked 12 fours and one six in 110 from 133 balls to lead a successful chase of 233 for the Caribbean side in the first ODI at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground.
He became the eighth Windies batsman to collect 10 careers hundreds in ODIs, following in the footsteps of Chris Gayle (25), Brian Lara (19), Desmond Haynes (17), Gordon Greenidge, Viv Richards and Shivnarine Chanderpaul (11) and Marlon Samuels (10).

NORTH SOUND, Antigua – Elegant strokemaker Shai Hope became only the eighth West Indies batsman to score ten One-Day International hundreds when he carved out a high-quality century in his first ODI in 12 months, to power the Caribbean side to a comfortable eight victory over Sri Lanka today.
The polished right-hander, also featuring for West Indies for the first time in eight months, hit 110 off 133 deliveries as West Indies easily reeled in a below-par target of 233 with three overs to spare at the Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium, to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Antigua, March 11 : Sri Lanka opener Danushka Gunathilaka became the first Sri Lankan player and only the eighth in the history of ODI cricket to be given out for obstructing the field.
It happened during the first match against the West Indies.
The incident occurred off the first ball of the 22nd over bowled by West Indies captain Kieron Pollard on Wednesday. Gunathilaka, who was batting on 55 off 61 balls, played at a length delivery and the ball dropped by his feet.
