A tow truck driver died Sunday after his leg was accidentally run over while working on a semi-truck in West El Paso, police said.
AD Towing & Recovery driver Carlos Flaco Olague, 59, of Socorro, was mortally injured while assisting a semi-truck stuck on a sidewalk on North Mesa Street near Remcon Circle, police officials said.
About 10:50 a.m., truck driver Joel Ramirez, 61, was attempting to turn west on Mesa from a retail parking lot but had left the trailer s landing gear down after leaving a business, police said.
While turning, the trailer got stuck on a sidewalk, blocking southbound lanes on Mesa Street, police said. Olague arrived and was assisting the tractor-trailer.

EL PASO, Texas A 59-year-old man died after he was caught between the rear axles of a big-rig s trailer that he was helping to move out of traffic, El Paso police said Monday.
The deadly incident happened Sunday just before 11 a.m. in the 7400 block of North Mesa near Remcon in west El Paso.
Police said the driver of big rig, 61-year-old Joel Ramirez, was turning west onto North Mesa but failed to lift the trailer s support wheels before exiting and the wheels became stuck on the sidewalk. That s when tow-truck driver Carlos Olague came to dislodge the trailer.

Luis Armando Muniz. Deferred adjudication. Possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Defendant received five years probation, $500 fine and costs.
Lindsay Erin Kubena. Deferred adjudication. Forgery of a financial instrument, enhanced. Defendant received four years probation, $500 fine and costs.
Armando Nisco Campos. Judgment. Tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair. Punishment assessed two years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division, $1,000 fine and costs.
Woodrow Agustus Kennedy. Deferred adjudication. Possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Defendant received five years probation, $500 fine and costs.
Dell Jamal Kilgore. Judgment on two charges of assault family/household member, impede breath/circulation. Punishment assessed four years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division and costs on each charge.
