ACRAs return to Sydney in 2021, entries now open
March 15, 2021 9:11
The Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) will return in 2021 after a year off due to COVID-19 restrictions and are set to take place in Sydney for the first time since 2012.
Entries are now open for the 32nd edition of the ACRAs, which will descent on the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour on 30 October this year.
Plans for the 2020 edition of the awards, originally set to take place on the Gold Coast, were shelved when CRA decided last June that virtual awards wouldn’t do the ACRAs justice.
This year’s awards will cover an extended period of judging eligibility, between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2021.
2021 ACRAs to go ahead in Sydney on October 30
The Australian Commercial Radio Awards will proceed this year, Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) has confirmed, following last year’s cancellation.
The 32nd annual ACRAs will take place in Sydney at the International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour on Saturday, October 30.
Entries for the awards, covering the past two years, opened today.
CRA said it is expecting about 900 stars, personalities and executives to attend this year’s event.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring the industry together once again,” CRA’s CEO Joan Warner said.
“The ACRAs will be returning to Sydney for the first time since 2012 and we’re determined to make this a very special event for the radio teams across the country.
