Man killed in Cueibet County by unknown gunmen
Police in Lakes State’s Cueibet County confirmed that one person was killed by an unknown gunman in his home in Mayath Payam.
The incident occurred on Sunday at 8:00 pm local time on the main road to Rumbek.
Colonel Machar Mourwel, the police chief in charge of Cueibet County, told Radio Tamazuj that the deceased was identified as Magong Ater Apac from the Joth Section of the Gok community of Mayath Payam.
“The security situation is normal but just the day before yesterday an unknown gunman killed one person in Mayath Payam from the Joth section and the killers are not known,” Colonel Machar said.
