BBTC SkillsUSA team earn top spots at state
It was a total sweep for Big Bend Technical College (BBTC) competitors in this year’s SkillsUSA State contest, as every participating student placed in the top three in the state.

“All totaled, BBTC had five first-place (gold), six second-place (silver) and three third-place winners. Congratulations to the students, their teachers and SkillsUSA advisors! The first-place winners will now represent BBTC and Florida at the national conference scheduled for June,” BBTC Director Jodi Tillman said.
Boles is growing FFA program, student agriculture knowledge

Sarah Boles, who chartered the inaugural FFA chapter at Taylor County Middle School, has been named the Taylor County School District’s “Teacher of the Year.”
“She is an outstanding and dedicated teacher who teaches agriculture and is the FFA advisor at TCMS. Thanks to Sarah’s dedication, the TCMS chapter continues to grow, year after year,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr. said.
