The case of a Stanley man facing charges of drug possession is moving through in the court system.
Online records showed that one of the felony charges against Jose Luis Colon Borrero was certified to the grand jury during a hearing last week in Shenandoah County General District Court. Three other charges were dropped.
On August 3
rd of last year, sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding at around 3 am on U.S. Route 211 east of New Market.
Sheriff’s Sergeant Brent Lutz said at the time of the arrest that after deputies detected an odor of marijuana, the driver gave consent to search the vehicle.
