Land guards terrorising us, we shall retaliate with guns, cutlasses - Jamasi residents warn
Residents of Ejisu- Jamasi (K.Lebi) area in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region are calling on the Ashanti Regional Police Command and the Overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll to come to their aid over what they describe as maltreatment meted out to them by land guards in the area.
According to them, land guards have over the past years been disturbing them but several reports made to the Ejisu District police command have yielded no result.
To the residents, they have lost hope in the police, and if the Ashanti Regional Police command therefore if Otumfuo Osei Tutu II does not act swiftly to address the land guard menace in the area, they would be forced to take the law into their own hands.
Oforikrom MP quakes Ayigya with thanksgiving service

The Member of Parliament for Oforikrom, Dr. Emmanuel Kwabena Marfo is not an exception as he quaked Living Waters Assemblies of God Church yesterday at Ayigya with thanksgiving service.
The thanksgiving event on Sunday 20th December 2020 was marked together with the Municipal Chief Executive of Oforikrom, Gloria Temma Gambrah, NPP executives and huge number of the party s supporters.
Dr. Marfo after the church service further organized a victory party at Banivilas Hostel, Kentinkrono- Kumasi where over one thousand people (partisan and non-partisans) were fed.
Allow Bawumia to lead NPP in 2024 - Group A group calling itself the Concerned New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Ayigya in the Oforikrom constituency of the Ashanti Region have rooted for the vice president, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to lead the party in 2024 general elections. According to the group, Dr. Bawumia has supported the party in the past four elections as a Vice Presidential candidate and deserve to lead the NPP at the end of the tenure of the Akuffo-Addo led government. They argued that Dr. Bawumia s unflinching support for NPP has aided the party to garnering more votes in the five northern regions in the 2020 general election, making him the perfect Presidential material for 2024 polls.
